How To Develop A Good Resume

What exactly should be written in detail in your resume? It is important that you don't miss anything that is supposed to be in. So, below is something you can refer in order to produce a good resumeā€¦

A complete Curriculum Vitae (CV) comprises of 6 sections:

1. Personal Details
2. Educational Details
3. Employment History
4. Interests and Extra Curricular Activities
5. Additional Information
6. Reference, Certificates

1. PERSONAL DETAILS

- Name
- Address
- Telephone Number(s)
- E-mail - Date of Birth
- I/C Number
- Nationality
- Marital Status

2. EDUCATIONAL DETAILS

- School (Primary and Secondary) attended
- College attended
- Dates when entered and left school/college
- Examination results, qualifications, achievements and certificates

3. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

- List of employments in order chronological order
- Employer's name and address
- Dates when entered and left company
- Position(s) held
- Duties and responsibilities
- Job-related Achievements

4. INTERESTS AND EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

- All sports activities involved and achieved in school/college
- Clubs and societies involved and achieved in school/college
- Voluntary work/ Local community involvement
- Physical and cultural activities
* If you have represented state or country in all of the above, do include them in
*Include Certificates for all of the above

5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- Other skills i.e. Computer Literacy, Public Speaking, Organizational skills
- Driving license and car owner
- Occupational Training Course completed
- Language usage
- Personal strengths
- Career objectives (clearly define your job target)

6. REFERENCE

- Persons that can be contacted to enquire on your character and capability (minimum of 2 person)
- Previous employer, College Lecturer and School Principal would be ideal (seek permission first)
- Include the name, title, postal address and telephone number.
- References from current employers can only received upon request
